Is there anything better than a lazy Saturday morning with that crisp fall air and a big pile of steamy french toast?! Well, french toast just got a major upgrade with warm chai spices to bring all the cozy vibes.
Ingredients for Chai Spiced French Toast
This recipe is similar to a standard french toast but is spiced with all the classic flavor in chai. Here’s what you are going to need:
Soak the French Toast
Start by grabbing out all your ingredients. I like to use a cake pan or pie plate when I’m making french toast. It’s the perfect size and depth for this recipe.
Add the eggs, milk, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, allspice and cloves to the cake pan and whisk until well combined.
Dip each piece of bread into the mixture, allowing it to soak in about 10 seconds per side.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the french toast until golden on each side.
Top with maple syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, fresh berries or whatever else you love on french toast.
