Sweet, buttery corn has always been a favorite side dish of mine. What’s not to love?! It’s a major crowd pleaser.

But this honey butter skillet corn takes that to a whole new level. It’s creamy and sweet, uses frozen corn and made all in one skillet.

Ingredients for Honey Butter Skillet Corn

The ingredient list is short for this one. Here’s what you’re going to need:

  • Butter: You can use salted or unsalted. If you use salted, just omit the salt in the recipe.
  • Frozen sweet corn: Grab a bag from the freezer section. No need to thaw it before making the recipe.
  • Honey
  • Cream cheese: For all the creaminess. The tanginess is really delicious with the sweetness of the corn and honey.
  • Kosher salt

How to Make Honey Butter Corn

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and allow it to melt.

Add frozen corn to the skillet and stir to coat with the butter. Once the corn has thawed, drizzle in the honey and add the cream cheese in chunks.

Continue to cook and stir until the corn is heated through and the cream cheese is melted. And that’s it! It’s ready to serve.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is this good? Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Can I use fresh corn? I’ve never tried it with fresh corn but I think it would work. You will need to cook the corn a little longer when fresh.

Can I use low fat or fat free cream cheese? Technically, yes you could. But be aware that a lower fat cream cheese tends to separate so be aware of that possibility.
