Grilling season is my favorite food season! Followed closely by soup season. Nothing is better than throwing something on the grill on a hot summer day.
Because of my love for grilling, I also adore a good marinade. This Spicy Chicken Marinade will quickly become a fan favorite this summer.
It’s spicy, a little sweet and packed full of flavor.
Ingredients for Spicy Chicken Marinade
The ingredients are simple for this one, my favorite kind of recipe. Here’s what you will need:
How Long to Marinade the Chicken
The marinade really depends on how much time you have. If you only have time to marinate for an hour, that will work.
But if you have time to make it the night before and marinate it overnight, go ahead and do it. The longer you let your chicken soak, the better it will be.
Can I Use Other Proteins?
Definitely! This spicy marinade doesn’t have to be just for chicken. It would also be great on turkey, pork or a sturdy fish (don’t marinate for as long for fish).
How to Cook Marinated Chicken
My favorite way to cook this spicy marinated chicken is on the grill. If you don’t have a grill though, no worries.
You can cook this chicken on a skillet on the stove top or in the oven. Make sure to cook until the chicken reaches the internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
