You all love a good copycat recipe around here. I love making them for you.
It’s always fun to make our restaurant favorites at home. And today’s recipe is a classic. The Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuit is often requested and it was about time I shared my version.
Tender biscuits studded with sharp cheddar cheese and lots of garlic flavor. Then basted with garlic butter right after baking. At home baking perfection.
A Copycat Favorite
For me, the big draw to Red Lobster has always been the biscuits. I’m not a big seafood fan so I’m pretty much there for a big basket of biscuits.
The tender, buttery base packed with cheese and all the garlic. They get me every single time.
Creating copycat recipes is SO fun for me and I know you all love them to as evidenced by the popularity of this Popeyes chicken copycat, Taco Bell quesadilla sauce and Chick-fil-A avocado lime ranch.
Ingredients for Copycat Red Lobster Biscuits
This recipe uses a shortcut ingredient to make them super simple to make. Here’s a list of everything you’ll need to make this delicious cheddar bay biscuits recipe.
So Easy
I went with bisquick mix to make these cheddar biscuits to ensure they were super easy and fail proof. We all love a good shortcut ingredient.
All the dry ingredients (except for the garlic powder) are all included in the mix making these quick to whip up.
Not only are they super easy but they are also incredibly quick to get on the table. We’re talking less than 25 minutes from start to finish. That makes them perfect for weeknights.
How to Make Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits
These are probably the easiest biscuits you’ll ever make. Put all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Melt the butter in the microwave. Let it cool for a minute then add to the bowl of dry ingredients along with the milk. Stir until it just comes together.
That’s it. Use a cookie scoop to portion out onto a greased baking sheet. Bake until golden.
While the biscuits are baking melt the rest of the butter and combine with more garlic powder and parsley. Brush onto the biscuits as soon as they come out of the oven.
