Whew, what a year it has been. I know we’re all ready to ring in 2021 and carry high hopes of what it will bring.
2020 was a year of cooking at home and it has shown in my numbers and growth of my site. I am so grateful to all of you who turned here to feed your family, bring you comfort and hopefully bring some enjoyment to yourself through cooking.
I’m also grateful for a year that provided extra time with my family, even though my introverted self really struggled with it sometimes.
Thankfully, our friends and family stayed safe and healthy this year. My heart is with you all that weren’t so lucky in 2020.
This years top 10 recipes prove we were seeking comfort and I hope you all found it in these recipes.

#10 Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls
The only thing that surprises me is that these Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls aren’t higher up on the list. They are the ultimate in comfort and perfect for every occasion.
#9 Beef Lo Mein
Making takeout at home was definitely a theme for 2020. This Beef Lo Mein was my most popular fakeout takeout recipe on the site for a few good reasons: SOO easy, super quick and just as good as the real thing.
#8 Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken Drumsticks
There always seems to be a recipe in my top 10 that surprises me and this year, its these Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken Drumsticks. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great recipe that’s super easy and delicious.
It just isn’t that exciting. That just goes to show you all love a simple classic. I can definitely get on board with that.
#7 Iced Mochas
We couldn’t get to the coffee shop as much this year so I knew it was the perfect time to share one of my favorite drinks to make at home. This iced mocha uses simple ingredients and only takes a few minutes to whip up.
#6 Breakfast Fried Rice
My savory breakfast loving heart absolutely adored that you all loved this one. Breakfast Fried Rice is packed with bacon and eggs to make it the perfect filling way to start your day. It’s great at dinnertime too.
#5 Baked Tortellini Alfredo
Cheese filled tortellini, cheesy alfredo sauce and more cheese on top. I completely understand why this cheesy comfort dish made the cut.
#4 Homemade Pickles
These homemade pickles went crazy this summer. It was a little after the pantry staple craze but maybe everyone wanted to try making something they normally would buy? Either way, this claussen pickle copycat was a hit during quarantine.
#3 Avocado Lime Ranch
You all LOVE a good copycat recipe. As evidenced above. This Avocado Lime Ranch is a Chick-fil-A copycat that has been loved most of the year.

#2 Bacon Pinto Beans
You all grabbed your dried beans and went to work during the first few months of Covid hitting. These Bacon Pinto Beans are made in the slow cooker which means they are super easy.
Spoon them over rice, add to tacos or burritos, enjoy as a side dish or eat them on their own with a few splashes of your favorite hot sauce.
#1 Blackened Chicken Alfredo
This cheesy, carby dish was the most popular and I totally get it. Pasta, cheese, slightly spicy chicken. It’s the ultimate combo.
