I’m all about the basic recipes right now and you all have been loving them too. This rice dish is a take on basic white rice but amped up with a few simple ingredients to bring the flavor.
If you’re looking for an easy side dish that will go with all the things, this is for you.
Ingredients for Butter Rice
That’s all you need for a super flavorful rice dish. So good.
How to Make Butter Rice
The process for making this dish is pretty much the same as making plain white rice. The only difference is a little toasting process.
First, melt the butter in your saucepan over medium heat. Add the rice and toast it in the butter. Cook it for a few minutes, stirring often, until it’s slightly golden. This adds a nutty flavor and creates a yummy texture.
Add the salt and chicken stock and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 20 minutes. Remove it from the heat, let it sit for 5 minutes then fluff and eat.
Gimme That Flavorful Rice
I know the ingredients and preparation of this rice is super simple but I promise there is so much more flavor than your average white rice.
The butter and chicken stock add a richness to the rice that really elevates the flavor. The nuttiness the toasting provides also adds another delicious dimension.
