I’m teaming up again with Rhodes Bake-N-Serv to bring you this super fun Halloween recipe. How cute are these Halloween sliders using their Warm-N-Serv rolls?!
Simple, Filling and Fun
I always like to make sure my kiddos are filled up with something warm and hearty before we set out for trick-or-treating. I also want to get the show on the road early so we aren’t up late on a school night so an easy meal is definitely a priority on Halloween.
Buuut, I also love a theme and can’t really turn down the opportunity to create something fun on a holiday. So considering all those requirements, I created these Halloween Sliders.
To make things quick, easy and delicious, I used Rhodes Warm-N-Serv rolls. These rolls are prebaked and frozen so all you have to do is grab them from the freezer, pop them on a baking sheet and put them in the oven for a few minutes to warm them up. No thawing necessary which makes them perfect for busy weeknights.
I don’t mean to be bossy but you NEED to try the Artisan French Rolls as soon as possible. They are perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside. I pretty much find any reason to pop a few in the oven, especially when soup is involved.
Packing Flavor in Every Bite
The filling for these cute little sliders is taco inspired. It starts with ground turkey or ground beef, whichever you prefer. Once the ground meat is cooked through, tomato sauce, shredded pepper jack cheese and taco seasoning are added to the mix.
I make my own taco seasoning for a few reasons. I know exactly what’s in it, it’s cheaper since I already have all the ingredients at home and I can control the level of spiciness in it. If my kids are eating it, I’ll tone it down a bit but if it’s just for the adults, I’ll up the spice level.
The ground meat mixture is simmered for a few minutes to thicken the sauce and bring it to the perfect texture for sliders. While all the browning and simmering is happening, pop the rolls in the oven and you literally have dinner in 15 minutes. If that isn’t winning, I don’t know what is.
Monster-ize These Sliders
And of course we need to talk about what makes these Halloween-y. Yes, I went there. It’s the easiest step but man does it have an impact. Grab some toothpicks and a jar of pimento stuffed green olives.
Put an olive on each toothpick and stick two into your delicious little sliders to instantly turn them into monsters. I mean, they couldn’t get cuter.
No matter what type of Bake-N-Serv roll you choose, these olive eyeballs will automatically make them perfect for your Halloween dinner.
Make a Fun Halloween Meal
I always make these spider eggs on Halloween and the kids look forward to them every year. They pair perfectly with these Halloween sliders to make a fun, spooky dinner before trick-or-treating.
I also majorly dig this Halloween Queso Dip. It’s neon green and looks kind of like slime which of course makes the kids love it even more. And I have a little secret, it gets its color from pureed spinach.
It looks cheesy, spooky and has hidden veggies so that’s a win-win for the parents and the kids.
Adding these adorable Halloween sliders and festive sides to your Halloween menu will start a yearly tradition your whole family will love.
