If you are a Facebook follower, you know that I have something up my sleeve this week. Why you ask? Because it’s shark week, duh. It’s totally cause for celebration around here. I have loved Shark Week for as long as I can remember and it’s one of my favorite weeks of the whole summer!
Sharks fascinate me so I always like learning more about them. I have swam with them twice, once in Hawaii in the ocean (in a cage) and once on our honeymoon on St. Thomas (waist deep water at Coral World with juvenile sharks – definitely not as exciting). So I figured since I love this week so much, why not go all theme-y on you guys again and share some fun treats you could indulge in while watching shark attacks.
This actual post is not a shark treat but I used this homemade marshmallow fondant for a recipe I will be sharing with you on Monday. I have been wanting to try my hand at fondant and although it wasn’t used in the traditional way, it was still fun and surprisingly easy to make. And I get to mark another item off my Top 100 list. It tastes great too, like extra sweet marshmallows.
I searched around and decided to use this tutorial to whip it up. It’s incredibly detailed and really easy to follow. If you want to make your own, make sure to check it out!
Aren’t you excited to see what I’m doing with it?
